One-year limited warranty, professional repair services, and step‑by‑step support to keep your lighter performing to Swiss standards.

Limited Warranty (1 Year)

Every THORENS lighter is a product of Swiss artisanship, carefully crafted and individually inspected before leaving our workshop. We provide a one‑year limited warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship.

This warranty covers

  • Mechanical faults of the ignition system or fuel mechanism not caused by misuse.
  • Structural integrity of the lighter body and components under normal use.

This warranty does not cover

  • Normal wear and tear, scratches, or surface discoloration.
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or improper handling.
  • Repairs or alterations made by unauthorized service providers.
  • Consumable parts such as flints, wicks, and fuel.

To maintain validity, always use appropriate lighter fluid and flints. Do not modify or disassemble your lighter outside authorized service.

Repair Services

Outside the warranty period, THORENS offers a professional repair service to restore your lighter to its original function. Our experienced technicians use original components wherever available and carefully preserve the integrity of the mechanical design.

  • Repairs using original vintage parts are subject to availability.
  • Service costs will be communicated and confirmed before any work begins.
  • Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the repair.

How to Request Service

  1. Contact Us: Provide proof of purchase, product details, and a description of the issue.
  2. Return Authorization: You will receive instructions for sending your lighter to our authorized service center.
  3. Evaluation: Our technicians will inspect your lighter and confirm whether the issue is covered under warranty.
  4. Repair or Replacement: If covered, the repair will be complimentary. If not, we will provide an estimate for your approval before proceeding.
