THORENS Stellar Mesh – Silver è un accendino a benzina ricaricabile con fiamma gialla, realizzato con corpo in ottone massiccio, sistema ricaricabile a benzina, coperchio a ribalta, sistema di accensione di precisione con rullino laterale, finitura argentata elettrodeposta, superficie incisa con geometrie stellari simmetriche, dettaglio centrale a stella ottagonale blu intenso e numero di serie individuale inciso sul fondo. Pensato per chi apprezza il design geometrico del metallo, un netto feedback meccanico e un accendino adatto sia all’uso quotidiano sia all’esposizione, emette un nitido PING metallico all’apertura del coperchio.
All’apertura del coperchio, i componenti meccanici assemblati con precisione generano naturalmente un nitido PING metallico; non si tratta di un effetto sonoro aggiunto. Per accendere, aprire il coperchio, ruotare il rullino laterale di precisione per produrre una scintilla e accendere la tradizionale fiamma a stoppino. L’azione del coperchio a ribalta, la resistenza del rullino e il processo di accensione a fiamma gialla formano una sequenza meccanica continua, offrendo a ogni utilizzo un riscontro chiaro attraverso suono, movimento e tatto.
L’esterno si sviluppa attorno a geometrie stellari ripetute e a una simmetria architettonica, creando un motivo ornamentale stratificato lungo il corpo. Delivery took about 25 days. The packaging is very nice and includes everything needed (flints, wick, plus a service wrench which is actually not necessary for this model, as everything can be operated without tools). The lighter is truly wonderfully crafted with a beautiful sound and great details. It looks much, much more expensive than it actually cost.

This lighter is like a work of art. It is beautiful and well made. The star patterns on the case are clear and perfectly made. I like to collect small mechanical items particularly ones that are well made. When I saw this I knew that i needed to get it. It came very well presented in a well made box with a drawer like opening. The directions it comes with are some of the best that i have seen for mechanical items. The directions are clear on using and maininting this lighter, as well as a blown up parts view showing every part and how they fit together. There are extra flints, extr wick and a nice carrying bag. I will confess that I am not sure what kerosene to put in the lighter. Although, I do not know if I will use it as a lighter as much as I will keep and display it as a piece of art. This is a beautiful and appears to be well made and I am glad that I got it.

I chose the design randomly and am really pleased with this lighter.
This is a very heavy brass lighter, makes an awesome noise when you open it, lol. It come very nicely packaged, you could totally give it as a gift. It is super heavy, easy to fill, nice lighting mechanism and easy movement and a wide variety of designs. The lighter came in a heavy nice red box; with extra flints, extra string and a little instruction book. . Handsome lighter and I can see years of use from it.

The engraved case is unique. I just don't know if black was the right choice; maybe I would have liked silver or gold better. The lighter is actually pretty small, which is good if you carry it around in your pocket. The box/package is very nice and giftable. Ultimately I would not use this as my go-to lighter because the flint mechanism is *too* old-school, and on the other hand, it is not as satisfying to light as a Zippo.

I really enjoyed the product quality and mechanical exelency! Also the crisp sound is really amazing.
When I was making an order I really have been thinking if I would like to really stick with this exact model. And I'm not regretting my purchase at all. But unfortunately I'm not a big fan of glossy surface of that kind. I would really appreciate if it was more matte.
As well I like more minimalistic style. And I would really appreciate if the company would consider more minimalistic designs. Because unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any in the existing catalog of crisp sound lighters.

真鍮製なので持つとずっしりとした重みが感じられますが、安っぽいプラスチック製のライターとは違い手にしっくりと馴染む感じがあり、金属の質感が良いです。また見た目も雰囲気があり、所有欲を満たしてくれます。点火は比較的スムーズで風の影響も受けにくく実用的でした。また、予備フリントが5個同梱されているのですぐ使い切ってしまう心配もありません。値段はやや高めですが雑に扱っても問題ない頑丈さがあるので長く愛用したいと思っている人にはおすすめです。

I will write a summary of an impression & problem i've encountered.
the flame is great, but the ignition wheel takes some attempt to ignite it. The "ping" sound is clear as what they advertised, but when its exposed to humid or concentration(by going from very cold area to hot, and causes water to be stick around the lighter) the "ping" sound will become dull, so you need to wait quite a bit for water to evaporate naturally for the sound to become clear once again. And the lid part, i don't know why but it budges when i put some pressure with my finger at the lid above where the striking roller is, and its about 0.5mm off(which is a LOT of error from precise CNC machinery) but doesn't affect the mechanism at all. Also some scratches on top of the lid but not a big deal.
Overall, i had a great experience with this lighter. I'd totally purchase this again.

The "ping" sound when opening sounds completely different from the videos you see online. And at times, not sure if it's the position of wick or the flint, it can be quite difficult to light it. I would strike it 10 times and still not get a flame.
However, the customer service experience is great nonetheless
