Product Descriptions
This Expendables etched lighter is a refillable fluid lighter crafted with a solid brass body, precision ignition components, and bold engraved graphics, designed for users who appreciate raw mechanical feel, visual intensity, and honest material aging.
Defined by uncompromising typography and stark symbolic imagery, this lighter draws its identity from themes of power, mortality, and confrontation. The capitalized “THE EXPENDABLES” lettering paired with the slogan “Choose Your Weapon” sets a direct, assertive tone, while the central engraving of a raptor perched atop a skull reinforces a visual narrative of dominance and inevitability. The polished brass surface is intentionally left to interact with time and touch, developing natural oxidation patterns that reflect individual use rather than artificial perfection.
Key construction details:
– Refillable fluid system using standard lighter fluid (kerosene-based)
– Traditional wick-and-flint ignition structure
– Solid brass casing with high-polish finish
– Deep-etched typography and raptor-and-skull graphic on the body
– Surface naturally develops hairline marks and patina through regular handling
This lighter is ideal for:
– Users who value bold, graphic-driven design with symbolic impact
– Collectors of etched or statement mechanical lighters
– Everyday carry users who prefer refillable, long-term fluid lighters with character
It may not be ideal if:
– You require a flawless, mark-free surface finish
– You prefer butane or jet-flame ignition systems
Regular refilling and mindful handling will help maintain reliable ignition and allow the brass surface to age naturally over time.

Too late, but good

Arrived in good time. Well packaged and protected
The presentation box is a nice addition with a pull out draw with the lighter in a cloth branded pull string bag . The lighter is nice and heavy , a well made solid lighter which lights first time and doesn't feel flimsy and light unlike another well known petrol lighter. Will definitely be building a collection.

Wonderful lighter that sparks every time you flip open the top camp. Plus the flint wheele you always have plenty of spare flints on hand. I also carry a fluid canister on my keychain so I always have all the essentials with me. Overall the Asprey is a work of art and a functional unit at the same time.

The Mini Cube Golden Mesh is an extremely well made lighter! The size of the lighter is fantastic, and it has a little heft for its size… The sounds this lighter makes when opening and closing it, lighting it, etc… you can hear the quality! Thank you Thorens for a great product and experience!

The lighter is of good quality. And reminds me of the one I had 50 years ago!!! Which I paid eight or nine dollar for back then.

Perfect fire-starting tool to have on board a boat...e-torches work okay, but first sign of moisture and you've got a paper weight. If you're taking the boys out for a day of fishing, foul Wx or not, and cigars are abound, the Torch Stick is what you wish you had.
Highly recommended...

I was really moved by how kindly and proactively they handled my inquiries. The product itself is sturdy and well-made as well. I'm definitely planning to collect more Thorens products in the future.

There are lighters and then there are lighters. This is the later. Unconventional look. Performers really well for a pipe. Somewhat different to get use to it but flame will come out upward but as soon as you draw on your pipe...flame reverses and you get a very nice top of pipe burn.
