THORENS Flamido Lighter is a refillable mechanical soft-flame lighter designed specifically for pipe use, featuring a pull-out Pull-Cap, a rotating body, dual side flame outlets, and manual flint-wheel ignition. The overall structure is designed around flame-direction control during pipe lighting, allowing the user to adjust the body angle according to the position of the pipe bowl and bring the traditional wick soft flame more naturally toward the tobacco.
To ignite, first pull the top Pull-Cap outward to expose the wick and ignition area. Then manually rotate the flint wheel with your thumb so the wheel strikes the flint, creates sparks, and ignites the traditional wick soft flame. The body can be rotated according to the position of the pipe bowl, allowing the flame outlet to be adjusted horizontally or to another suitable angle and reducing the need to sharply tilt the lighter or wrist during ignition.
The dual side flame outlets work together with the rotating body, allowing the user to adjust the flame outlet according to grip direction and pipe position. Flamido uses standard lighter fluid and can be refilled repeatedly, while also supporting flint replacement, wick maintenance, and routine cleaning. The pull-out cap, manual flint wheel, rotating body, and dual side flame outlets together form the core operating structure of this purpose-built pipe lighter.

The presentation box is a nice addition with a pull out draw with the lighter in a cloth branded pull string bag . The lighter is nice and heavy , a well made solid lighter which lights first time and doesn't feel flimsy and light unlike another well known petrol lighter. Will definitely be building a collection.

Wonderful lighter that sparks every time you flip open the top camp. Plus the flint wheele you always have plenty of spare flints on hand. I also carry a fluid canister on my keychain so I always have all the essentials with me. Overall the Asprey is a work of art and a functional unit at the same time.

Perfect fire-starting tool to have on board a boat...e-torches work okay, but first sign of moisture and you've got a paper weight. If you're taking the boys out for a day of fishing, foul Wx or not, and cigars are abound, the Torch Stick is what you wish you had.

There are lighters and then there are lighters. This is the later. Unconventional look. Performers really well for a pipe. Somewhat different to get use to it but flame will come out upward but as soon as you draw on your pipe...flame reverses and you get a very nice top of pipe burn.
