small, compact, easy to use and refill, its very neat, as soon as I saw it out of the box it looked so elegant, minimalist design. its not windproof and the glossy finish will leave fingerprints on it, however with some engraving you can put a nice texture on it if you like. it is pretty heavy, all of thorens lighters are and that takes away the disposable feel completely out of it. im considering buying one for myself

I’m not a smoker, but I was looking for a vintage Thorens lighter, when I found they are still manufactured today. I love this lighter for what it is: a classic bit of engineering with a clever lighting mechanism which flips open the lid and instantly lights the wick. It has a wonderful weight and feel to it and fits beautifully in the palm of the hand. Be prepared for a long wait for it to arrive (I believe it comes directly from China), but I don't regret the wait and they replied attentively to emails.
