Product Descriptions
This Golden Retriever lighter is a refillable fluid lighter featuring an antique bronze–finished metal body, sculpted canine head detailing, and a decorative collar-and-chain rear design, created for users who appreciate animal-themed collectible lighters with strong sculptural presence.
Designed around the recognizable form of a droop-eared hound, this lighter presents a calm and gentle canine expression through carefully carved facial contours and flowing fur textures. The antique bronze finish is achieved through a distressed oxidation process, producing rich, uneven metallic tones that emphasize depth, surface variation, and vintage industrial character rather than uniform polish.
Key construction details:
– Refillable fluid lighter system compatible with standard lighter fluid (kerosene)
– Antique bronze finish created through a distressed oxidation process for uneven metallic texture
– Sculpted dog-head body design with drooping ears and carved fur details
– Rear-mounted three-dimensional double-buckle collar motif
– Short metal chain with raised bone-shaped pendant attached at the back
This lighter is ideal for:
– Collectors of dog-themed or animal-form collectible lighters
– Users searching for a distinctive golden retriever lighter with sculptural detail
– Display-oriented collections where character design and metal texture matter
– Everyday carry users who prefer refillable, long-term fluid lighters
It may not be ideal if:
– You prefer minimal or purely geometric lighter designs
– You are looking for disposable or butane-based lighters
Regular refilling and basic surface care help preserve both function and the intentionally aged finish over time.

Hand-Carved Craftsmanship
Each Hand-Carved lighter begins as a solid brass body, individually hand-engraved using traditional metal engraving techniques rather than automated or laser processes.
Surface patterns are carved line by line with hand engraving gravers, with each piece requiring at least two hours of focused manual engraving.
Following engraving, each lighter is hand-finished through manual sanding, polishing, and a controlled vintage aging process to enhance depth, contrast, and tactile character.
Created exclusively within the THORENS workshop, the Hand-Carved Series reflects a Swiss-designed approach to craftsmanship where individual variation is intentionally preserved.

Arrived in good time. Well packaged and protected
The presentation box is a nice addition with a pull out draw with the lighter in a cloth branded pull string bag . The lighter is nice and heavy , a well made solid lighter which lights first time and doesn't feel flimsy and light unlike another well known petrol lighter. Will definitely be building a collection.

Wonderful lighter that sparks every time you flip open the top camp. Plus the flint wheele you always have plenty of spare flints on hand. I also carry a fluid canister on my keychain so I always have all the essentials with me. Overall the Asprey is a work of art and a functional unit at the same time.

The Mini Cube Golden Mesh is an extremely well made lighter! The size of the lighter is fantastic, and it has a little heft for its size… The sounds this lighter makes when opening and closing it, lighting it, etc… you can hear the quality! Thank you Thorens for a great product and experience!

The lighter is of good quality. And reminds me of the one I had 50 years ago!!! Which I paid eight or nine dollar for back then.

Perfect fire-starting tool to have on board a boat...e-torches work okay, but first sign of moisture and you've got a paper weight. If you're taking the boys out for a day of fishing, foul Wx or not, and cigars are abound, the Torch Stick is what you wish you had.
Highly recommended...

There are lighters and then there are lighters. This is the later. Unconventional look. Performers really well for a pipe. Somewhat different to get use to it but flame will come out upward but as soon as you draw on your pipe...flame reverses and you get a very nice top of pipe burn.

I love the weight and feel in hand. Works great and custom engraving was perfect!
