THORENS Ignis Tower is a lighter built around a minimalist silhouette and dual flame orientation, featuring clean flowing body lines, a side flame outlet, and an openwork flame-area design. Depending on how the lighter is held, Ignis Tower can switch between a standard vertical flame and a side flame, providing two flame directions while maintaining a clean and understated appearance.
During normal upright use, Ignis Tower produces a standard vertical flame from the top. When a different flame direction is needed, the body can be intentionally tilted so the flame exits through the side flame outlet, creating a side-flame orientation. The change in flame direction is controlled primarily by the holding angle, without requiring an additional complex flame-switching mechanism, keeping both vertical and side-flame use direct and straightforward.
The side flame outlet is integrated directly into the body structure and works together with the openwork flame areas at the top and side to form the distinctive appearance of Ignis Tower. Its wind-resistant and durable design helps improve flame stability in outdoor conditions, making it suitable for everyday carry, camping, and other situations where different lighting angles may be useful, while preserving a clean, minimally ornamented overall design.

The presentation box is a nice addition with a pull out draw with the lighter in a cloth branded pull string bag . The lighter is nice and heavy , a well made solid lighter which lights first time and doesn't feel flimsy and light unlike another well known petrol lighter. Will definitely be building a collection.

Wonderful lighter that sparks every time you flip open the top camp. Plus the flint wheele you always have plenty of spare flints on hand. I also carry a fluid canister on my keychain so I always have all the essentials with me. Overall the Asprey is a work of art and a functional unit at the same time.

Perfect fire-starting tool to have on board a boat...e-torches work okay, but first sign of moisture and you've got a paper weight. If you're taking the boys out for a day of fishing, foul Wx or not, and cigars are abound, the Torch Stick is what you wish you had.

There are lighters and then there are lighters. This is the later. Unconventional look. Performers really well for a pipe. Somewhat different to get use to it but flame will come out upward but as soon as you draw on your pipe...flame reverses and you get a very nice top of pipe burn.
