Product Descriptions
This Long Fellow lighter is a refillable fluid lighter featuring a solid brass body, elongated rectangular form, and an inclined side wheel ignition, designed for users who appreciate minimalist aesthetics, tactile precision, and traditional mechanical function.
Defined by restraint rather than ornament, the Long Fellow design focuses on proportion, surface continuity, and balance. Its clean geometry and uninterrupted glossy brass finish emphasize material honesty and weight, while the angled ignition wheel introduces subtle mechanical character without disrupting the overall simplicity. This is a lighter built around presence and handling, not visual excess.
Key construction details:
– Refillable fluid lighter system using lighter fluid (kerosene)
– Cotton wick combustion structure for consistent ignition
– Precision inclined side wheel for controlled, low-effort ignition
– Solid brass body with smooth, texture-free glossy surface
– Elongated rectangular profile emphasizing balance and grip
This lighter is ideal for:
– Users seeking a minimalist brass lighter with refined proportions
– Collectors interested in Swiss-inspired mechanical design
– Everyday carry users who prefer refillable, long-lasting fluid lighters
It may not be ideal if:
– You prefer jet-flame or butane torch lighters
– You want a completely maintenance-free lighter
Routine refilling and basic wick care help maintain stable ignition and preserve the brass surface over time.

Arrived in good time. Well packaged and protected
The presentation box is a nice addition with a pull out draw with the lighter in a cloth branded pull string bag . The lighter is nice and heavy , a well made solid lighter which lights first time and doesn't feel flimsy and light unlike another well known petrol lighter. Will definitely be building a collection.

Wonderful lighter that sparks every time you flip open the top camp. Plus the flint wheele you always have plenty of spare flints on hand. I also carry a fluid canister on my keychain so I always have all the essentials with me. Overall the Asprey is a work of art and a functional unit at the same time.

The Mini Cube Golden Mesh is an extremely well made lighter! The size of the lighter is fantastic, and it has a little heft for its size… The sounds this lighter makes when opening and closing it, lighting it, etc… you can hear the quality! Thank you Thorens for a great product and experience!

The lighter is of good quality. And reminds me of the one I had 50 years ago!!! Which I paid eight or nine dollar for back then.

Perfect fire-starting tool to have on board a boat...e-torches work okay, but first sign of moisture and you've got a paper weight. If you're taking the boys out for a day of fishing, foul Wx or not, and cigars are abound, the Torch Stick is what you wish you had.
Highly recommended...

I was really moved by how kindly and proactively they handled my inquiries. The product itself is sturdy and well-made as well. I'm definitely planning to collect more Thorens products in the future.

There are lighters and then there are lighters. This is the later. Unconventional look. Performers really well for a pipe. Somewhat different to get use to it but flame will come out upward but as soon as you draw on your pipe...flame reverses and you get a very nice top of pipe burn.
