Product Descriptions
THORENS Narrow Lighter – Argent Mirage is a refillable soft-flame brass fluid lighter built with a solid brass body, refillable fluid system, polished silver-tone metal finish, precision side-slip ignition system, Argent Mirage engraved surface, geometric textured grip area, and a traditional wick flame system. Designed for users who appreciate THORENS' Swiss mechanical lighter craftsmanship, narrow mechanical design, tactile operation, and decorative engraved metalwork, it combines slim carry proportions with a clean, stable, and controlled mechanical operating experience.
This lighter is built around the Side Slip Narrow mechanical structure. To ignite, operate the side-slip ignition system to create a spark and light the traditional wick flame. The sliding action, mechanical resistance, and soft-flame ignition process create a direct, clear, and steady tactile experience, giving each use precise mechanical feedback through motion, pressure, and hand feel.
The exterior features a polished silver-tone metal surface covered with Argent Mirage engraved detailing. Repeating arcs, layered wave lines, and diagonal engraved elements create a rhythmic visual effect reminiscent of flowing light and optical movement. As light shifts across the surface, the engraved texture reveals stronger reflection, depth, and structural order, giving the lighter a brighter, more refined, and highly recognizable metal appearance while preserving its slim mechanical silhouette.
Key construction details:
- Refillable fluid lighter system for long-term use
- Solid brass body construction with substantial hand feel
- Elongated side roller for smoother, more stable side-slip ignition operation
This lighter is suitable for:
- Everyday carry users who want a slim refillable fluid lighter for pocket use
- Users who prefer side-slip ignition with smooth mechanical feedback
- Collectors who appreciate engraved metal surfaces and understated mechanical lighter design
- Buyers looking for a refined mechanical lighter, collectible lighter, or distinctive gift for men
It may not be ideal if:
- You prefer butane jet-flame or torch-style lighters
- You want a disposable or maintenance-free lighter
- You prefer a plain smooth surface instead of a layered chevron-style engraved pattern
Proper refilling, flint replacement, and basic wick care help maintain consistent ignition performance while preserving the lighter’s polished silver-tone finish, layered chevron-style engraved surface pattern, and controlled side-slip operation over time.

Had a few quality issues when it arrived, there were a few small holes on the bottom of the lighter along with another longer slit that my finger nail can fit in. Contacted them about it and although they said from the pictures its not a problem that effect the function of the lighter, from my testing it seems to allow fluid to evaporate out the bottom, was offered partial $10 refund or a gift card. I'll probably stick with someplace else in the future.

Great lighter. Beautiful finish. Functions perfectly. What can I say: Buy it!
r
Solid build quality, has a great feel to it, instructions were unclear

Beautiful lighter and shipping was very fast

It's hefty... far heavier than I'd expect from the size of the item. A full block of metal? But I like heavy stuff, gives a "good quality" impression.
The round thing seems purely cosmetic — it can be turned, but that's it.
This model comes complete and fully assembled. Saw a YouTube video of some models needing assembly, not the case here.
Purchased from the website, which categorizes it as a "tobacco" product. Do note certain credit cards (mine, at least) won't give it any points — doesn't even count toward the spending amount.
Sent via China Post. Maybe it's made in the factory owned by a Chinese company instead of Swiss, dunno.

Non c'è la possibilità di cambiare lo stoppino con il ricambio in dotazione, non si capisce a cosa serve la seconda camera e puzza di benzina.

Loved it. Upscale product for good price.

This is a cool lighter. It fits nicely in your hand and has some heft to it. It lights easy and is easy to fill. The bronze color is a cool rustic look. It is a great looking lighter.

Overall a very stylish, interesting, and fun lighter to carry. Consistently get compliments and asks re: where I purchased. Design is lacking in two places:
1. Almost zero capability in windy environments.
2. Not a leak-proof cap design - so if this thing ends up in your pocket at the wrong angle you may end up with a light whiff of "eau de lighter fluid" in your pants.
Do love the inclusion of a spare flint wheel and the design is stellar.

It's a truly incredible lighter, aesthetically beautiful, very solid, compact, and heavy, but in the best sense of the word. The materials and construction are truly masterful, crafted with great skill. I've never purchased a lighter like this before, and I'm very pleased with it.
Thank you so much for your amazing review! We’re thrilled to hear that the craftsmanship, weight, and design all left a strong impression. Each THORENS lighter is built with solid materials and precise attention to detail, and it’s wonderful to know this one truly stood out for you.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback! We’re delighted that you’re pleased with the lighter’s quality and mechanism — every THORENS piece is made with meticulous Swiss craftsmanship.
We truly appreciate your patience regarding the delivery time and are continuously working to improve logistics for a smoother experience.
Enjoy your lighter, and thank you for recommending THORENS!

i own many styles and types. This has been the most reliable after two weeks of use. Simple and stylish.

I have just started collecting lighters although I do not smoke but I just like the look, engineering and craftsmanship of them. Interestingly I find them a lot smaller than you see them on the website being lit. I find the service very good although it does take quite some time for delivery but realise they are being sent from China. All in all I am well pleased with them . . . . 👍

I like it

Hi
I'm very satisfied with the lighter
But I am very disappointed when I first received the lighter
Because "No Cotton" in lighter
Please check before product shipment
Thank you

It is hypnotizing to look at the pattern, and the mechanism is perfect. When closed you cannot see the seam between body and lid. These lighters are addicting.

Mein rotes THORENS Feuerzeug ist endlich angekommen. Bin einfach begeistert. Bin rundum happy 😍
