Product Descriptions
This Side Slip Rectangular lighter is a refillable fluid lighter featuring a solid brass body, precision side-slip ignition system, and full-surface black geometric engraving, designed for users who value mechanical reliability, refined texture, and everyday carry practicality.
Built around THORENS’ classic side-slip architecture, this model emphasizes form, grip, and visual depth rather than ornament or symbolism. The engraved three-dimensional geometric pattern spans the entire body, creating layered reflections as light moves across the mirror-polished surface. It is a contemporary mechanical lighter—designed for daily use, not display—balancing urban aesthetics with tactile, repeatable ignition.
Key construction details:
– Refillable fluid lighter system using cotton wick and lighter fluid (kerosene)
– Precision side-slip ignition mechanism with crisp, controlled movement
– Solid brass body with high-mirror electroplated black finish
– Full-body engraved geometric texture creating a three-dimensional visual effect
– Slim rectangular profile optimized for pocket, chest pocket, or EDC carry
This lighter is ideal for:
– Users seeking a slim, refillable fluid lighter for everyday carry
– Those who prefer mechanical side-slip ignition over push-button systems
– Buyers who value engraved texture, grip, and reflective metal finishes
It may not be ideal if:
– You prefer jet-flame or butane torch lighters
– You want a disposable or completely maintenance-free lighter
Proper care helps maintain ignition consistency, fuel efficiency, and surface finish over time.

This is a fabulous lighter in all terms: great build quality, highly reliable and - if you are used to Zippo lighters and how fast they lose lighter fuel - no loss of lighter fuel so far: I filled up this little thing three weeks ago and haven't used it in this period. And I started it now and BAM! It lighted up immediately! Try the same with a Zippo 😖
Even the flintstone replacement is easy and straight forward. Now, whenever I will buy another lighter, I will only go for Thorens!
We really appreciate your detailed feedback! Consistent ignition and fuel efficiency are key priorities in our design, and it’s rewarding to hear that the lighter performed flawlessly even after weeks of non-use. We’re honored to have earned your trust.

Solid 5, well built, I like it. A slidable windguard for this lighter would make it 6 stars.
